I'm delighted to report that the bus stop sign has re-appeared at Mallory Place, Bowerhill, Melksham - taking the NIMBY approach, (or rather the IMBY approach), it's the nearest stop to where I live - and it also services some other houses in The Spa, Mallory Place, Wellington Square, most of Wellington Drive, and some main road houses. Servies on route 272 call there on Monday to Saturday at hourly intervals - from 24th April on Monday to Friday at 07:03, 07:47, 09:16, 10:16, 11:20, hourly to 16:20 and at 17:28 and on Saturday at 07:14, 07:58, 09:10, 10:00, 11:12, 12:12, 13:20, hourly to 16:20 and 17:28. Apart from the first two buses each day, these services have left Bath about an hour earlier, and all have left Melksham Market Place about 10 minutes earlier. All services carry on via Melksham Market Place back to Bath.

Sunday and evening services are provided on route 271, with the nearest stops being on Spa Road (at the northern end of The Spa) and at Falcon Road / Kingfisher Drive to the south. Later (return) journeys are available from Bath at 17:30, 18:45, 20:10, 21:30 (only as far as Melksham Market Place) and 23:20 on Mondays to Saturdays. Sunday services leave from Falson Road at 10:27, 12:30, 14:30, 16:30 and 18:28 (a few minutes later from Spa Road), and return from Bath at 10:15, 12:10, 14:10, 16:10 and 18:10

Although Sunday evening is one of the busiest for people travelling (getting to where they'll be working the following week), there's no Sunday evening bus service at all to or from Melksham.
