Coats of arms - towns and authorities in Wiltshire Archive - Originally posted on "The Horse's Mouth" - 2016-02-21 11:37:13 - Graham Ellis
Wiltshire has a rich history, illustrated and celebrated in the coats of arms of the various towns and authorities in the area. These coats of arms shown in this post are (I consider) to be in the public domain. However, they remain the property of the body to whom they were granted, and their reproduction here does not imply any endorsement by the local authority concerned.
See Civicheraldry.co.uk for details of these coats of arms ; in order, they are the coats of arms for Calne, Cricklade, Devizes, Highworth, Kennet, Marlborough, Melksham, North Wilts, Royal Wootton Bassett, Salisbury and Wilton, Swindon, Thamesdown, Trowbridge, West Wilts, Warminster and Wiltshire. Some are ragarded as current, others historic or obsolete.
