National Express Coaches are now only serving the centre of Chippenham twice a day - down from 8 a day a couple of months ago. So you can no longer travel from Melksham to London by taking the bus into the centre of Chippenham and catching the National Express.

However, where one door closes, another one or two open

a) This year, trains from Melksham to Swindon 8 times per day connect with trains to London

b) A new Megabus service has started from Chippenham (centre) to London - there are three services on most days which will connect with buses to / from Melksham. In essence, this is a replacememt for the National Express. Fewer services, but in general even cheaper and faster as it doesn't serve Heathrow

Megabus leaves Chippenham at 05:25, 08:25, 13:20 and 18:20, return from London (Victoria) at 09:00, 12:20, 17:00 and 22:00. Journey timeschedued between 2 hours and 2 hours 40 minutes. At the weekend, some reduction in service / change of timing.

Fares currently showing for the next few days - £3 into London, £4 from London.

The daily National Express Coach from Melksham to London continues to run.
