Archive - Originally posted on "The Horse's Mouth" - 2014-07-11 10:22:31 - Graham EllisThe Melksham Hertitage Discover Fair took part at the Well House Collection at Well House Manor on Spa Road on Saturday 5th July. Guest speakers included Kate Bevan from English Heritage, and John Forbat, evacuated to Melksham during the second world war and revisiting for the first time, who was signing copies of his book during the day.
Around 80 people visited during the day, seeing a variety of stalls, listening to the talks, seeing the various artefacts and displays and talking with experts to help research their Melksham Families and homes. A great success - "when can we do it again" people were asking. The Well House Collection is open daily, as is the cafe - just pop in.
