Melksham is a market town just 100 miles to the west of London, situated on the River Avon just 2 miles from the Kennet and Avon Canal, 4 miles from the Cotswold village of Lacock, six miles from Bradford-on-Avon, eight miles from the Westbury White Horse and under 10 miles from Bath. There's plenty to see and do in the area - for a weekend, or for a week. 
New for 2014, Melksham has train services all day, every day, making it a great base for visiting the area by public transport as well as by car. Trains will whisk you from Paddington to Swindon, where you change for the new TransWilts service - a total train journey time as little as 90 minutes.
