Over a hundred welcoming businesses - Melksham Town Centre

Melksham can celebrate a hundred open-for-business doors (shops and services) in its High Street area - I know that because I walked around early this morning, pushing flyers for the Chamber of Commerce meeting that's happening on Tuesday evening through letter boxes.

There's a great deal going on in the Melksham area, and it's best for businesses to be aware ahead of time and prepare for changes, rather than to simply react when those changes happen. The Campus, the canal, public transport, new outlets, new town and unitary councils in May all herald potential changes and opportunities. Various members of the Chamber of Commerce keep their ears and eyes open, and the monthly Chamber meeting is a chance for busy businesspeople to be efficiently informed.

All are welcome to next Tuesday's meeting - and there's a list of current subjects that may arise [here]. Come along, and ask about any of these topics, or raise your own. We may not know the answers ourselves, but we probably have contacts who do!

There's also a more general answer to "What can the Chamber of Commerce do for me?" [here] - the list of ways it can help is a long one, so of necessity the introduction page cherry-picks.

Actually, there's more than 100 businesses in the Town Centre... some businesses don't provide letter boxes for out of hours correspondence, and there are three "gated communities" in the town where on a Sunday morning the shops and services remain firmly locked away behind barriers, repelling all interest in their shopfronts! Please feel free to pass on this URL / link / your copy of the flyer is you got one. Hope to see a lot of you on Tuesday Evening for 18:30.
