Well House Manor in Melksham is a great destination for a long weekend away. Just 100 miles from London, the town of Melksham is set in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside close to the National Trust village of Lacock, to Longleat, and to Bath Spa. Or stay very close by and enjoy walking through the fields to the Pack Horse Bridge, along the Kennet and Avon to waterside pubs at Seend and Sells Green, or through the town on the Riverside Walk and taking in the new history trail, for Melksham has a long history dating back to before the Domesday book.

Valentine's Weekend. Arrive on the evening of Friday, 15th February and stay in one of our Sumptuous Superking rooms. On Saturday, why not visit the city of Bath (why not leave the car and take the bus from right outside?) and on Sunday explore the ancient town of Bradford-on-Avon, just six miles away? We'll be providing romantic touches in each of our rooms that weekend, and on Saturday and Sunday mornings we'll provide a really extra special Valentine Continental breakfast. In the evenings, dine in (we can call up Italian, Indian of Chinese) or eat out in Melksham. Three night package - £95.00 per room per night for bed, romance and breakfast - total price £285.00. Easter 2013. At Easter, the countryside starts to open up and you can visit grand buildings such as Corsham Court (with its Capability Brown gardens, Great Chalfield Manor which opens for the first time in 2013 on the Sunday, Bowood, The Courts at Holt and many more places. The Heritage Museum in Devizes is just a short bus ride from us, and if you ant to venture a little further, why not see Avebury, the Westbury White Horse, Silbury Hill or Stourhead. Rooms are £95.00 per night (double occupancy) or £85.00 (single) including our extended continental breakfast for all guests. And if you book 2 rooms for an arrival on Thursday 28th March and departure on Tuesday 2nd April, you'll be eligible for our special rate of £72.00 per room per night for bookings of 10 room/nights or more. Make a reservation [here].

Mayday Holiday, and May Bank Holiday Both Monday, 6th May and Monday 27th May are public holidays - so there are two excellent weekends to take a short holiday in Wiltshire. As we get nearer to midsummer, you'll be able to enjoy long days seeing the beautiful countryside of the valley of the river Avon, and the high Marlborough Downs and Salisbury Plain. Or very close to our hotel, take a walk behind Melksham Spa and in Giles' wood to the Canal. Rooms are available at £85.00 (single occupancy) and £95.00 (double occupancy) throughout both holiday weekends, and there will be a team member with local travel guide knowledge on hand in the evenings, and at breakfast, to help you plan your days. The Badmindton horse trials - about 15 miles from us - are also taking place during the early May bank holiday in 2013 Make a reservation [here].

Party in the Park and Carnival On Saturday, 13th July, Melksham's famous carnival takes place and, once again this year, it coincides with the party in the park. What better weekend could there be to visit Melksham, take a look around, and enjoy the fun of the parade, the fair, and the music? Make a reservation [here].

August Bank Holiday Why not arrive with us on Friday 23rd August, and stay over until Tuesday 27th? The four night stay for a double room will cost you just £380.00 including breakfast for yourself and your partner every day, and you can visit places as diverse as the Steam museum in Swindon, Wilton House, Iford, and the Cotswold villages of Castle Combe and Biddestone. Make a reservation [here].

The 2013 Melksham Food and Drink Festival will take place between the 6th and the 15th of September 2013. Well House Manor will be welcoming guests throughout that period. If you're dining out late, our room key system lets you come and go as you please, and our refreshing breakfast with fresh fruits, meats and cheeses, freshly baked croissants and much more provides you with the ideal accompaniment to all the other foods and drinks available during the festival. Double rooms - £95.00 per night, single £85.00, including breakfast. Make a reservation [here].
