Challenge for a photographer

I set myself a challenge this afternoon ... to get some good current photos of the dogs out in the field.

It was a beautiful afternoon, and even in our flat lands the landscapes are spectacular.

Now Billy can run - great circles, and fast. And trying to catch a 35 m.p.h. greyhound on a camera is easier said than done. Here's perhaps the best attempt - I won't post the many pictures I have that show just grass, or just parts of a dog.

Gypsy is a lurcher - and we were told when we got her "she will stay with you, but her definition of "with" and yours may differ". That's true - I have a good selection of "see that dog on the horizon - it's Gypsy" pictures. She loves it and she's always got her eye on us; at times I may even loose sight of her, but she knows where we are.

And when she's not in the distance, Gypsy is checking the field edges - again a difficult picture, and so much of her character is in her actions.

So I'm going back to another beautiful scenery shot ... that doesn't move off, nor get lost in the long grass.

But thereare one good way to get a picture of Billy - stand in the kitchen and he'll come along, look up, and tell you he would like some food or a stroke (he would always like some food, and always liks a stroke)

And here's a Billy picture that Lisa took the other night ...
