Can you identify with any of these questions? Would you like to help to make things better? There's a need for improved co-ordination between transport providers, various user groups, local authorities, special interest groups - and the people who use the services too!

As a group which is working to improve the use of the TransWilts Railway line - which we're working towards becoming the public transport backbone of Wiltshire - the TransWilts Community Rail Partnership (with encouragement from TravelWatch SouthWest, Wiltshire Council and others) is sponsoring a meeting of transport user groups in the county, and those beyond the county who use Wiltshire's travel resources too, to learn from one another and to co-ordinate. The meeting will take place on Saturday 1st December in Westbury - full details are on the TransWilts web site [here] or if you prefer there's a facebook event page [here].

Does your bus run at the right time for you, or do you have to wait a long time when you connect off the train?

Do you have to commute by car simply because there's no public transport when and where you want to go?

If you're making a new journey, do you find it easy to find out what the options are that are available to you, and what each one costs?

As a cyclist, do you know when, where and at what speed you can share road space and footpath space?

Where can you best park to take the train to London for the day?

Is there flat / lift access to the train?

What do you do / who do you call if your bus doesn't turn up?

Can I take my dog / mobility scooter / bicycle on the train / bus / in a taxi?

Why does the xxx bus service at 07:50 every morning always look empty? Could a better use be made of the service or vehicle?

Can we tidy up our station and put more welcoming signs there?

Where can I hire a bicycle?

Is there a less crowded route?

Why doesn't our bus go to the station?

Please spread the word ... please tell everyone ... we want to find all groups who are interested, and individuals too where there aren't representative groups.
