An email marathon

Is sending out 26 different emails in a day a Marathon?

After an eventful morning (read all about it on my facebook page), I travelled from home to set up the systems I'll be using for the course I'm giving the rest of the week. As they're not my machines, I felt I needed to make sure I knew how they were loaded and how the network worked which turned out to be much easier than I had bargained for.

So - I've had a Marathon chance to catch up ...

• One email was sent from a web site, and 25 from my email clients.

• 18 emails were "Re:" something, 4 were forwards, and that leaves just four that were starting new conversations.

• 7 were on Hotel business, 8 were on Open Source / training topics, 4 were on the Chamber of Commerce, 4 were on transport issues, and that leaves two others - on Adele and on Cheese.

• 5 emails had enclosures, and 20 did not

And there's been that facebook page and various tweets too.

I was awoken at around 06:30 this morning (and out of the house by 06:35); it's now 23:45, and the last member of staff at The Manor has just signed out. And I had better sign out too and get some sleep.

Update - too much coffee during the evening ... and add .. Skype conversations with 2 people, conversations in person with 14 (and with 2 dogs and a cat), and telephone conversations with 6 (people, that is - not dogs or cats!).
