Do you run a business in Melksham or are you thinking of starting a business? You should come along to the Melksham Chamber of Commerce meeting on 16th October, 18:30 at Well House Manor on Spa Road. All welcome - whether you're a member or not.

This is the most important Chamber meeting of the year, that will set our course for years ahead and we want YOUR input

Melksham Chamber of Commerce has been supporting its member businesses, other businesses in the area, and the economy of the Melksham area as a whole for a century, and has been a member of the Wessex Association of Chambers for nearly 20 years.

The Wessex Association's administration costs eat up an increasingly high proportion of membership and patronage fees, and both the Wessex Association and the Melksham Chamber have been reviewing the best model for us to move forward into the future:
• What do members want?
• What do potential members want?
• What's wanted for Melksham's business community and economy?
• How can the Chambers of Commerce movement meet those aspiratrions?
• How can we safeguard that work of the Chambers for the next decade?

Chamber benefits do / can / may include:
• Provision of networking opportunities
• Provision of information on subjects that effect local businesses
• Provision of business advice services
• Helplines for HR and legal support, tax investigaton cost insurance, etc
• Marketing benefit of being a Chamber member
• Local discount deals
• Regional and national discount deals

On 16th October, the chair and president will be presenting the Wessex vision for the future, their vision for the Melksham Chamber, and how that may be of best use, benefit to existing members and potential members. At the end of the evening, we will have a framework for the Chamber for 2013 and beyond.
