Wiltshire is a beautiful county, and Melksham has some gems, and is an excellent touring base too. This is the Pack Horse Bridge - perhaps 300 years old - a short distance downriver from the town. And we're just 4 miles from Lacock, 6 miles from Bradford-on-Avon, and the bus direct to Bath city centre stops right outside our hotel at Well House Manor ...

Well House Manor is set in 3/4 of an acre of quiet garden just a short walk to Melksham's town centre, which offers a range of shops; there's a cluster of antique shops, quite a number of independent specialists, as well as a selection of the usual High Street stores. And our selection of places to eat and takeaways is second to none for a town of this size in Wiltshire.

Bedrooms at Well House Manor are all en-suite, large, with King sized beds, and fitted out to a very high standard. All rooms feature large flat-screened TVs with a choice of over 50 channels, minifridges, laptop safes, hospitality trays, and unlimited broadband wired and wireless internet access, and it's all included in the base price.

Well House Manor's busy during the week - mostly with business guests - and somewhat quieter at weekends, even in summer. We welcome guests for weekend breaks - a leisurly superior continental breakfast, real freshbrewed coffee. And bring your dogs to stay too - let them run in our enclosed back garden, and take them out for walks across the fields, beside the river, or through the wood to the Canal, where you can try the 6X and eat lunch at canal pubs such as "The Barge" or "The Magpies".
