Melksham is a great place to base yourself to see Bath and the beautiful countryside of Wiltshire, and there's plenty to see if you're using public transport too. The map above shows public transport links to and from Melksham (the big box in the centre of the diagram) which was drawn in June 2012.

Key:
* Black lines are buses, red lines are railways.
* Bus route numbers are shown in blue.
* Solid lines are services that run at least once per hour during the day, Monday to Saturday
* Dashed and dotted lines are less frequent services
* This map does not show routes which have only one journey per day

Notes:
* The zigzag bus (Bradford-on-Avon to Corsham via Melksham) does not run on Sundays
* The 234 and x34 but routes do not run on Sundays

Connections:
* Chippenham bus station is across the town from Chippenham Railway Station
* Early morning buses from Melksham to Chippenham also call at Chippenham Railway Station
* Evening buses from Chippenham to Melksham also call at Chippenham Railway Station

* In Bath, the bus and railway stations are adjacent
* In Salisbury, the Stonehenge bus leaves from the station approach
* In Trowbridge, buses to / from Frome also stop near Trowbridge Railway Station
* There is no railway station in Corsham, so no connections are possible there
