Map drawn June 2012
Melksham is a town located around 100 miles to the West of London, close to the Cotswolds, Bath, Longleat, Salisbury Plain and a great deal of other beautiful countryside. It also has a thriving commercial community, with several industrial and high tech areas, and many smaller companies too, including quite a number who attract international visitors. So - which airport should international travellers fly into, and what options do they have to get to Melksham?
The closest airports are Bristol, which has some International flights, and London's Heathrow which is further away, but has a greater range of options.
From any of these airports, you can hire a car (remembering that you'll need to drive on the left), or you can take a taxi. You are strongly advised to book a taxi ahead of time, as it will be very expensive indeed if you take a "cab" from the rank. If you're going to be staying with us at Well House Manor, we can prebook you a taxi and the driver will be waiting for you in "arrivals". You pay the taxi driver (around £60 from Bristol and around £150 from Heathrow)
