"There's nothing happening in Melksham". Funny that people should say that when there's so much happening! On the Chamber of Commerce Diary alone the following events are listed:

16 Apr 2012 (Mon) Learning to Program in Perl

16 Apr 2012 (Mon) Deeper than Art? - King's Arms from 15:00

16 Apr 2012 (Mon) Melksham Town Council Meeting

16 Apr 2012 (Mon) Melksham Without Parish Council Meeting

16 Apr 2012 (Mon) SCOB Meeting

16 Apr 2012 (Mon) Wiltshire school term starts

Please bookmark the site, visit the site, tweet the site and you'll find there's actaully quite a bit going on!

It's an ongoing job to update this site! Whenever we add something to the diary, we add a date that is to be deleted too - that's the day after the event takes place. So that we won't be offering you things from yesterday, last week or last month.

We do need you to tell us about new events you have planned. It's never too early! We can go through the local paper, we can search the web, we can send out emails - but it's far better if you tell us. There's a submissions form (on the diary page) and if you add things there, you can do so on your own words and with a link you your own web site.

Events that are added will be moderated (i.e. checked that they're within the area, and not duplicates), and that may take us a few hours - we have to do that to ensure that the information we provide is to the highest possible quality, and to avoid our diary being "spammed". But when you submit data, you will receive a confirmation that we have it on the next screen.

Because we're asking you to provide us with the data and we're automatically cleaning up expired events, we can offer this diary service at no charge - it's a volunteer thing which we're happy to provide for all organisations in the Melksham Community.

As the data grows, we may change the display format - we're surprised just how many events are happening ... and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to access the information about them!
