Another wet Bank Holiday is over ... and at least I can be thankful that my drive up to Cambridge was quiet if somewhat wet - Tuesday morning start to a private Lua course. I'm back at the Hamilton Lodge - friendly faces of the staff as I've stayed here so many times before; it almost feels like my home in the east as Julie asks "Room A5 - you've been in there before, I think?"
Rooms here have numbers ... or letters in front of numbers, indicating the next house along, as the hotel is a series of terraces knocked through into each other - a warren of rooms and a maze of staircases too. I think of this as the Holyhead room ... as A4 would be the Bristol Room, and A3 would be Portsmouth. I expect you've got it by now. But I have to agree with a numbering rather than a naming system for business hotel rooms.
