2012 has started with a lot of different weather - or perhaps every year does, but we've been out and about much more with two dogs rather than one, and with a Learning to Program in Tcl course running for delegates who are new to the UK, and wanted to look around (and I'm happy to show them!) at lunchtime.

We had a good break and some good changes to bond over the new year.

Rain has been heavy and long. Some of the fields are now more like lakes ...

... which means there's something extra to play in / with

Caen Hill locks on the way to Devizes are a regular stop - and always a wonder - to guests new to the area. Pictured on 4th January

Car parking near the centre of Melksham will no doubt be a continuing issue in 2012. Here is Thackaray Crescent at lunchtime on 3rd January.

This morning, our regular walk out to the field behind our house was blocked by a wall blown over by the high wind, and so we walked on the fields behind Brabazon Way, with views of dawn over toward Seend.
