Sunday Evening ... newest and oldest Melksham pictures

Out collecting a meal from the Refa, I stopped to take a quick picture of lights going up (and, thank you Paul, for the insite and quick demo). Picture up here ... probably before the lighters (is that's what to call them?) are home.

By contrast, perhaps the oldest picture of Melksham I've posted here, thanks to John Money. It shows the train leaving Melksham for Trowbridge in the first week after the station re-opened in May 1985. Note the old "West Country Farmers" silos ... how some things have changed ... and the old siding that just been disconnected as the line was slewed across to come alongside the platform. The old single line, now out of use, is on the right.
