Friday - Electrician, Food Festival, C++ Course, Rail Group Meeting

I call these "National Trust" days after I spent a lot of time logging a specific day - 17th October 2006 - as they asked people to do, just to find that my day was too long and eventful for their web site.
My first appointment was 05:45 at Well House Manor - something of a record. I was meeting up with an electrician to look at getting a number of small but niggling faults fixed; he had a breakfast meeting at 06:45, I had further appointments and cutting a long story short, we decided that as it's light early, we would meet early. After that meeting, I set up breakfast at Well House Manor - something that's on my Friday schedule for just a few more weeks.
The launch of the Melksham Food Festival program, at Leekes ... 08:00 to 09:00. Program details will appear on the festival's web site on Monday - see [here]. In my Chamber of Commerce role, I was asked to say a few words - as usual, I had given it thought beforehand, and had notes, but then tuned what I said to reflect the group / environment / previous speakers, and I'll need to read next week's Melksham Independent News to see what parts of my speech stood out.
The "real work" of the week was a C and C++ course; I wasn't snapping loads of delegate pictures this week, so here's a representative screen capture of some of the stuff we were working on. And - after the course (and a spell on the phones taking a hotel booking and details a course booking), it was off to Melksham station to meet the 19:11 arrival - the Great Malvern to Southampton train which makes one of the two southbound calls at Melksham each day, then off to the Annual General Meeting of the Melksham Railway Development Group, where I'm Vice Chairman (means that I occasionally get a chance to keep order if our chair, Peter Blackburn, has to excuse himself from a meeting).
