Scones with or without fruit?

Should the scones served with a cream tea have fruit such as Sultanas in them, or should they be fruit free and rely on the flavour of the clotted cream and the sweetness of the strawberry jam? We're opening from Sunday, 29th May from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Strawberry Cream Teas at Well House Manor in Melksam, and have been discussing this amongst the team. Some have said "with", and others "without". Several qualified their answers with "but I prefer" and went the other way.

So we asked our web site visitors - as part of a series of random questions - to choose "with" or "without"; and the answer have come in kind of balanced too - 32 to 18 as I write - so there's no predominant winner.

Solutions, we'll have both on hand. You can have your scones as you want them, at least until we gain experience.
