What have these pictures in common?

Here are ten photos. They have something in common; have a look through them and see if you can work out what it is. Each of them has a link so that you can enlarge it, in a new window, up to four times (in area) its current size.































Have you any thoughts as to what these have in common? They show a river scene, a green footpath, several beautiful and historic buildings, and a quiet residential street. But a minority of them show rather less beautiful scenes - dereliction, and what can only be described as a very uninviting entrance indeed to a public facility.

They're all pictures taken within the last 24 hours ...

And they're all taken within 400 metres of Melksham's Market Place!

Gypsy and I fanced stretching our legs yesterday, and we walked beside the river, through the nature reserve, and around parts of the town that many residents might not even notice as they pass close by. We have - for the most part - a beautiful town that we should be proud of. There are things that we can do - and some are planned - to improve some of the less attractive elements but, NOW, we shouldn't be running our town down. I though I would post this little reminder here ...
