Sharing a single hotel internet connection without carrying extra hardware

The publicity says "up to 2 Mac addresses", but the practice is that it's working with a single Mac address, and it takes a lot of hassle with reception and the suppliers of the connection to get the second machine connected ... which has to be repeated every 24 hours.
We have an alternative.
Mac OS X includes drivers for both the cabled and wireless interfaces ... and also routing software for use between the two (that last is the exciting bit). And that means that - via the "Internet Sharing" settings - we can connect in - wired - one Mac, and then have it use its wireless interface as a wireless hub. Net result? I'm connected, Lisa's connected ... and I can also connect the delegate laptops that I have with me if I wish.
