Audio equipment

Quiet Zone. Please refrain from using phones and other audio equipment in this area. Thank You.
We've just had a tannoy announcement (!) telling us where the train's going, and telling the whole train including us about the quiet rule. I can count ten people in the carriage. There's myself, there are six others I can see and not hear, and there is a couple with a child who I can hear but not see - they're behind me, discussing whether their phone needs to be turned off, and talking about things like the jolting of the train as it starts up.
If I had wanted to listen in to other peoples conversations, I would have sat in A, C, D, E, F, G or H ... some people just don't realise that "other audio equipment" includes that oldest audio equipment of all time - their own voices.
