Arlington National Cemetery, in Virginia, USA - just across the Potomac river from Washington DC. Lisa's whole extended family and friends gathered yesterday for a graveside ceremony for her mother, who passed away a few weeks ago. Plenty of pictures were taken, but they're in a folder marked "family and friends only" just for the moment; I may come back and add a link later.
We're staying at a hotel in the Crystal City / Pentagon City area, and in the evening Tyler and I took a walk under the freeway to the area of the Pentagon itself. There's an irony that this major building complex in "the land of the free" is marked with stern "no photography" signs all around, but I can understand why. However, photography is permitted within the Pentagon Monument - to the 184 people who died there on September 11th 2001. Further pictures within the memorial [here]
