Hotel booking in Melksham made easy!

Every page that's public facing now includes the menu that you see on the left - "click on your arrival date" to get people straight to our secure server. And they can see availability ahead of time too - no hunting for that data, no stepping through the process to get a "sorry - we're full" message later on.
The diagram on the right, that looks a bit like a Christmas Tree in my test, is what us staff see when we're logged in; different colours are used to tell us exactly how many rooms are open each day at a glance - that TOO MUCH for our customers - it approached confusing if you don't know the page - but on our internal "happens page" where we can see the status at a glance - current, and future, it's invaluable.
I've taken the opportunity to make some other small "tweaks" too - inconsistent navigation menus are now consistent, and every page has a footer with a link to our small print and official address. A handful of pages have been retired (I won't tell you what they are, as I suspect you never knew they existed anyway!) and a new page added that tells both our business and leisure guests a little more about what there is to do in Melksham and the area. You can see that page [here].
Is it completed? A web site is never completed ... but it's "good to go". I want to add in a few more links, I want to get the pictures changing with the seasons ... but I'll let it settle for a few days first and watch how it works.
