Melksham Community Area Partnership is holding a consultation eveny next Saturday at Melksham Town Hall, seeking the views of the people and businesses of Melksham on Wiltshire's core strategy - the plan is about Wiltshire as a whole, but Melksham is very much a part of the county, and we're one of the pieces of the jigsaw.

You may have seen previous blogs of mine where I have raised the issue, and indeed pointed you at submissions. Yes - they were in last month, but further views are still being sought and the purpose of the CAP is to het them from you.

The Area Partnership is planningthe event so that it WON'T be just a boring series of hard to follow posters - they're going out of there way to explain it for people who are not town planners and they'll be having various interactive and response gathering mechanisms there - they want YOU do draw on maps where you think things shoudl and should not go ... and they want YOU to balance and tradeoff other developements too.

The CAP is very new ... as I write, the web site is a holding page at http :// melksham . communityarea . org . uk/, but they're doing there level best to have something more up within days ... so do have a look at the link, and follow it again on Tuesday or Wednesday. Miriam's contact details are on the poster if you want to know more - or if you prefer, get in touch with me - graham@wellho.net. I'm slightly on the sidelines on this particular event, but I do know a bit about it and who to contact if you have a question that stumps me!
