Happy new decade - and course and hotel prices for 2010

Happy New Decade, everyone! And thank you for your support and business through the last one. This year, we'll be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of our courses in Melksham, and we're now in our fourth year of running our own hotel and training centre. We look forward to welcoming many more guests at the hotel, and many more delegates on our training courses... and we look forward to seeing many old friends learning new subjects with us, or just coming on another visit to Melksham and staying at Well House Manor.
Course prices remain unchanged!... 1st January is the day on which we traditionally have reviewed our prices, and we've done so again this year. And we see no need what so ever to increase our training course prices - they're £350.00 for the first day and £250.00 for the second and subsequent days of each public course that you take with us at Well House Manor in Melksham. If you'll be staying with us, add £60.00 per room per night, and that includes breakfast. Please note that training course prices (i.e. all prices in this paragraph) are quoted exclusive of VAT, which most of our customers reclaim anyway. Hotel prices remain unchanged too! This was a more difficult decision to make, as the £80.00 per room per night (single occupancy) and £90.00 per room per night (double occupancy) include VAT, which rose last night from 15% to 17.5%... and last year when it went down, we had handed much of the saving on to our customers. We've decided to stick with the current pricing - it's nice, round numbers and we really don't want to start quoting £81.74 and £91.96 to people. As a business hotel, we tend to be busier during the week than at the weekend - although in summer, we get pretty full at the weekend too. So through this winter, we're offering a special £70.00 per room per night for stays of 2 or more nights that include a Saturday night... that offer is open to anyone. And we're also offering delegates who have attended any of our training courses rooms (for any night) at that £70.00 rate. We love to catch up with old friends. Yes, there's still a library of some 700 Open source books, and, yes, you'll get me talking on Lua, Python or PHP if you ask me!
P.S. Private and onsite courses are also unaltered in terms of pricing - if you have 4 or more delegates who need the same training at the same time, you'll find it more cost effective for us to run a private tailored course for you - at our place or yours. Update ... VAT is 20% from 4th January 2011. Hotel rates are now £95.00 (double), £85.00 (single) and £72.00 (delegate) to reflect this tax increase. Course prices - which we quote without VAT - are unaltered; most of our training delegates are paid for by businesses, and although the businesses will pay a higher VAT inclusive price, they will be able to reclaim that extra.
